Mahathir Mohamad stance: BN or Pakatan Rakyat?

The former PM of Malaysia, Tun Mahathir (http://www.chedet.com/), admit in his blog that the current government (BN) is the best model of government for Malaysia. I been waiting for a while for this statement from him. Tun Mahathir played quite a destructive role to BN lately.

I am agree with Tun Mahathir. BN is an alliance of racial parties. It is not very practical to form a big multiracial party in Malaysia because each race is associated with different religion. Like it is uneasy to form a party for both Malay and Chinese because one is Muslim and another is Buddhist, its like mixing water and oil. After all, BN, even though it is not perfect, has done very well for Malaysia for the last 50 years.

The Pakatan Rakyat, which comprises three extremely different parties (PKR=Socialist/Secular, PAS = Islam, and DAP = Secular), is not a very good alliance of political parties because there is no strong bonding between them. There is only 'sweet talker' Anwar Ibrahim that stick them together. It feels that they are aiming for power but even they do not know whether they can use power properly..
